How it started
Why We Built Smart Ghar
Our founder couple Krupa and Anand Mehta welcomed a baby girl who was highly sensitive to sensory changes during sleep. Traditional hardware, like clicking light switches and stepped fan regulators, disrupted her rest. Furthermore, managing the room's environment manually proved difficult for her mother while nursing or holding the infant. This gap between traditional home hardware and modern living needs inspired us. We launched Smart Ghar Automation to engineer intuitive, smart home solutions that enhance comfort and provide hands-free convenience when it matters most. He looked for smart home solutions and found only expensive, complicated systems designed for luxury apartments.
So he built his own. What began as a weekend project in a Ahmedabad apartment became Smart Ghar Automation — a company dedicated to making intelligent home technology affordable, easy to install, and genuinely useful for Indian homes.
Today our team of 18 engineers, installers, and support specialists has automated over 1,200 homes across Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. We're just getting started.
